Growing up

Making your way to a new place with a broken heart, thinking about how things could have turned out if a bit more effort was put into it.  This was me in the beginning of 2014, after the admission exams were done, I was able to enroll myself in a new but promising university, more importantly a public one. In the first few days, I hardly enjoyed this new life of mine, which was meant to be the most entertaining and engaging part of an individual. Things changed, circumstances became better, new people with brilliant thoughts came into being. This spurred some hope into what was a very disappointing start.

Maybe this is how life changes. You never know what is coming at your way, best way to deal with these things is to take it up on the chin and see where it takes you. Even being soft on the vocals I tried to know more people, get acquainted with this new place and my oh my! Some seniors really changed it for the betterment. I hardly looked back after that, from that point on it was all about how to be a cut above and preparing yourself for what the future holds.

I want to believe that at some point of this part of our life, we really take it the way it is and not whine and show depression for what we don’t have rather being grateful for all the opportunities we get, to make the best use of it. See for what your surrounding truly stands for and you might be awestruck for what you have been missing out all this time! The tendency to look for better things even though you have plenty is what brings misery to people’s life. Hardly will you find those who are content with what they have; not talking about ambition, that’s a totally different thing really.

Looking back, I get to relive all those memories that have been fulfilling and worthy of everything, that is what you call satisfaction and it is verily overrated. Keeping your expectation (of people) at a level is important as well, not everybody can surpass that you know :3. Coming back to reality, there will always be those who you hate or like a lot. But do you really show it? It’s better to confide because let’s face the world has too much hatred already. A bit of humbleness hurts no one. Even when I show humbleness people take it for weakness, but that’s their problem why bother changing yourself? You will find the ones who like you for what you are no matter how less that number is.

This undergrad life will be a roller coaster of a ride, make no mistake but the bonds you make will be forever in your heart and you will be wanting more of it no matter how much you have already made. This will be the circle for you, the main reason to look up to, the center of attraction with everything happening around you will be more involved with this place for the years to come. That’s how it is at least for that amount of time and surely you will be missing it when all of this comes to an end So, break them shackles and see how you can handle things as they come.
